Sports have enhanced my life indubitably to the point that I would not be the same person as I am today had I not dabbled in recreational sports. I would not be a team player as most adolescents are at this time and year. I am such an accomplished problem solver because of such fascinatingly difficult sports such as basketball and football. My eating habits would be completely different if I had not been involved in such engaging and demanding sports. Sports, needless to say, has completely altered my inmost being.
Team sports, such as basketball, baseball, soccer, and football, require teams to work together and divide the game flawlessly. When you are involved in sophisticated sports, such as these, then the players need to mesh their minds together into one impenetrable fist. When you learn to play in team sports you are better prepared for life after sports.
Most teenagers who play “one on one”, “twenty-one” and so on, do not have the same abilities as those who play on organized teams. They are usually the ones that end up not being able to communicate well with others, therefore they cannot effectively accomplish jobs that require more than one person. Such people will most likely not have an adequate income in their future business.
Problem-solving skills are essential if you are going to engage yourself in intricate sports that require fast thinking and quick reacting. For some athletes, this comes naturally, but for others, it is much more challenging and thought-provoking. In the world after sports, people need to be able to think on their toes. They need to simply, be able to make split-second decisions, most jobs require some sort of fast decision making. Being able to quickly react is a skill that all people require and not all people have.
Athletes need two things the most; sleep and a good diet. My coach has enlightened me by telling me that I need to get more sleep and eat nutritiously, he said: ”Athletes need to keep their bodies healthy in order to compete at the top level.” I personally would not be half the athlete that I am if did not have such a healthy diet. If I were to simply go out and get Mcdonalds everytime I craved it then I would be gigantic, not to mention that my athletic performance would suffer. That, simply said, is not who I am, I have to keep a healthy and nutritional regimen.
In conclusion, participating in sports has completely and utterly transformed me to be the person that I am today. Sports has forced me to become a team player, so now I can take those talents and go into the business world. It has also allowed me to become an excellent problem solver, which will come in handy later on in life. Lastly, my nutritional diet has enabled me to forge myself into the athlete that I am today. Sports has completely changed my life.
